Although I usually tutor K & K on Wednesdays, things at WEPC were a little shaken up this week, due to the churchwide dinner. Instead, I tutored the girls tonight! When I arrived to WEPC, I had a surprise waiting for me--the girls' cousins came along as well! K & K are actually double cousins with these girls, which means their moms are sisters and their dads are brothers! How cool is that? Needless to say, tonight was quite interesting while tutoring four girls at once, but I loved it! I think their cousins will continue coming. As soon as I came home, I started working on new worksheets and lesson plans for the girls!
Tutoring these students is such a blessing. I would love to be an English teacher, and tutoring four girls at once has already shown me how much fun I would have teaching.

guess what?!?!? i finished drivers ed! finally! my mom said that maybe sometime next week, i can go to DMV and get my license!
i'm watching Dancing with the Stars right now-i love the it! After watching Steve, the Microsoft programmer, Bruno (one of the judges) said, "it was like watching a teletubby gone mad!" i thought that was funny! Shawn Johnson is competing on the show too! i thought she danced pretty well, but her movements were a little too mechanical...
i have spring break next week! well, at jsarge anyway...i can't wait!

wow!
a lot has happened lately! first, i came down with a really bad cold that didn't go away for about 1.5 weeks! :/ then, it snowed! almost a foot of snow fell in our area. this snowstorm was said to be the record for march snowfalls since 1980. the last time i remember having this much snow was christmas day, 1998: the huge icestorm.
we lost power sometime during the night sunday. all day monday was definitely a task for my mom and i! my dad is out of town on business, so my mom and i had to start the woodstove, keep it going, cook food on it, shovel paths for the dog outside (and paths for us of course!), and manage with no water or other electric appliances. we melted snow on the woodstove to keep the house from drying out. we found it takes 6 times as much snow to melt into water. that's a lot of snow! :)
yesterday, we also drove up the road-just to get out of the house! i drove the jeep, 4-wheeling in the snow! that was fun for the first time. of course, i didn't go over 30 mph! on our trip out, we saw a power line down right around the corner from our house.
well, we finally got our power back sometime today around noon. almost as son as it came on, i called the shower first:)
well, i have pictures from the snow, but i'll save those for another post. i'll also try to take a few more before i write that post.
